Happy May everyone! I am going to try and send out more frequent, shorter posts leading up to the release of the deck!
Printing Progress
In my last post, I discussed how we'd found a path forward with the printer. There’s the final tally:
100% saturation (too dark)
90% saturation (still dark but better)
85% saturation (a bit too light)
75% saturation (way too light)
With those figures in mind, we have given the printer the green line (and the payment to proceed) for an 87% saturation: a happy medium between the 85% and 90% saturation levels. So yes, this means the decks are officially being printed!! Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the decks will reach Jesseca in mid-June and we will work to start shipping out then! This is a crazy time and honestly I'm a bit beside myself.

This also means it's time to check off a few items to ensure you all can orders the decks. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to charge for shipping and tax, and also finishing up the guidebook for using the deck (more on this in another post). If you have any insights about how shipping and tax are normally priced, please reach out! I have been a lifelong bureaucrat and have never had a business before this. The whole "having a business that delivers products" is a foreign concept to me...!
Deck Price
Along the lines of capitalism, Jesseca and I have set the price for the deck at $100 plus tax and shipping. This will help cover the cost of over seven years of research and card design which have culminated in these 94 unique pieces of art. This will also help to recoup the down payment of printing costs! We believe the $100 price is in line with other first edition, limited run prints of novel oracle decks. And we are beyond excited that we will be soon able to share this beautiful well researched product to you!
As mentioned above, I am working on developing the pre-order purchase of these decks, but I need some time (and perhaps assistance) to figure out the ancillary costs of shipping and taxes. Please do reach out if you have insights about this!
